Chocolate Rum

Get snuggled up in a cozy blanket in front of the fireplace and toast with hot chocolate, rum and a sprinkling of coconut to a festive holiday season and the upcoming New Year. Delicately dark chocolate notes of cocoa beans and sweet milk chocolate flavors, rounded off by some fruity rum aromas are meeting on a mild Rooibos tea. For the grand finale: a topping of whipped cream and some coconut as well as licorice root shavings… a polar dream come true!

What is rooibos? Naturally caffeine-free brew boasting a rich and very smooth taste. Rooibos has full-bodied flavors reminiscent of a smooth black tea. Not actually from the tea plant, instead comes from the South African red bush and produces a dark reddish liquor.  Our Red Velvet Rooibos is truly one of our top selling blends crossing over several different tea categories.  Delightfully satisfying chocolate without any guilt at all. Indulgent, smooth, and satisfying.

Rich in antioxidants and having some vitamin c, mineral salts, and proteins. Tasting much like black tea, great with or without milk. Why we love rooibos so much? Finding a deeply satisfying decaffeinated tea can be a challenge. In our opinion, the processes used to change the tea leaf into caffeine-free can often change the rich flavor of the tea leaf. Rooibos fits a niche because it naturally does not contain caffeine, brews a deeply satisfying flavor and makes a great hot or iced tea beverage.  Rooibos and Honeybush are wonderful tea brews for pregnant and nursing mothers. They are also great for people with heart issues that need to avoid caffeine.
